Spell checker ignores misspelled words in Word

Have you noticed that on occasions the spell checker in Word ingores words that are very clearly misspelled?  What gives?

I have only seen this happen after I have copied text into a Word document from a web page or from a non-Office application.  Somehow the "do not check spelling or grammar" option is turned on for the text I've copied.

To fix this in Word 2003:
 - Select all text in the document (Ctrl+A)
 - Tools menu, Language, Set Language
 - Click on the "Do not check spelling or grammar" box until it is clear
 - Click on OK

To fix this in Word 2007:
 - Select all text in the document (Ctrl+A)
 - Review tab, Proofing Group
 - Click on the Set Language button
 - Click on the "Do not check spelling or grammar" box until it is clear
 - Click on OK

So if the spell checker is ignoring misspelled words in your document, you'll now know how to fix it.

Any questions, please let me know.
