Easy navigation using Word's Thumbnails
If you work with large documents in Word, this week’s tip may be useful.
Starting with Word 2003, Microsoft introduced a feature called Thumbnails. Thumbnails are small pictures of each page in the document and they are displayed in a panel to the left of the document. Click on a thumbnail to display the page. Thumbnails are numbered so you can easily jump to a specific page.
You can resize the slider bar between the thumbnails and your document to show even more pages onscreen.
To display Thumbnails in Word 2007:
- View tab, Show/Hide group, click on Thumbnails
To display Thumbnails in Word 2003:
- View Menu, select Thumbnails
