The Home and End keys do slightly different things in each of the Office programs. They can be quicker than grabbing the mouse to click where you want to go.
Word: Beginning or end of the line
Outlook: First or last email in a folder
Outlook: Beginning or end of the message you have open
PowerPoint: first or last slide in your presentation
PowerPoint: beginning or end of the line if you have clicked in a placeholder
Excel: Home takes you to first cell in the row
Internet Explorer: beginning or end of the web page you are viewing
