Reducing mouse travel in Windows
Happy New Year and all the best for 2008!
In
Windows XP, you can reduce the amount you need to move the mouse by having the
system automatically position the mouse pointer on the default button in a
dialog box. For instance, when closing a document, a dialog box with Yes,
No and Cancel buttons is often displayed. Yes is
the default option and the mouse pointer will automatically be positioned over
this button.
To
turn on this option:
- Start menu, Control Panel
- Select Printers and Other Hardware
- Select Mouse
- In the Mouse Properties dialog box, click on the Pointer Options tab
- Click on the checkbox in the Snap To area
- Click on OK
