Microsoft Excel Level 3


This advanced level course covers Pivot Tables and data analysis features such as Scenario ManagerConsolidate.  We also cover Macros and Customizing Excel. 


Participants will learn how to:

  • Analyze data using PivotTables, Slicers and PivotCharts.
  • Create and manage scenarios, as well as create scenario reports.
  • Use the Goal Seek feature.
  • Define and solve problems with Solver.
  • Consolidate data by position or category.
  • Create and work with subtotalled lists.
  • Import external data into Excel from a variety of sources.
  • Record and run a macro and edit the Visual Basic code.

Assessment Methods: Lab exercise completed after each module to reinforce the topics covered in the module.  Q&A throughout the course.  Course evaluation completed after the course.

Instructor Bio: John Chandler

John ChandlerJohn Chandler specializes in delivering Microsoft Office computer training courses in Vancouver and throughout B.C.


He is a seasoned software instructor with broad-based business skills developed during more than five years as a management consultant. He has over 26 years’ experience teaching adults how to use computers. He is comfortable working with people at all levels in an organization, including senior management, and has demonstrated skills working with users at all levels of computer literacy.


John is a results-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and proven abilities teaching all levels of computer software from introductory to advanced.


He holds the Certified Management Consultant designation and is a current member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. The CMC designation is granted to individuals who have demonstrated their knowledge of management, and their capacity to consult, according to international standards of practice and ethics. It is earned through a combination of university education, experience, peer review, study & examination.


John is a member of the Vancouver Executives Association and is the President of the association this year.
