Subscriber Maggie C. asks \u2018How can I change the font size in a new message\u2019.<\/p>\n

Outlook uses the Calibri font and a font size of 11pt for new messages.\u00a0 I like the Calibri font as I find it clean and easy to read.\u00a0 My one beef with it is that it seems small so I have changed the font size to 12pt.<\/p>\n

It may not just be the font size.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t like Calibri you may want to use Arial, Garamond or Times New Roman in your messages.<\/p>\n

To change the font or font size used in new Outlook messages:<\/p>\n

  1. File tab, Options<\/li>\n
  2. In the Options dialog box, select Mail<\/em> in the Navigation pane on the left<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the Stationary and Fonts<\/em> button on the right of the dialog box<\/li>\n
  4. Under the New mail messages <\/em>heading, click on the Font button<\/li>\n

  6. Select a font and font size as needed<\/li>\n
  7. Click on OK three times<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note that you can also change the font and font size used when replying or forwarding messages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
