If you include a large number of pictures in a PowerPoint presentation you may find the size of the file balloons as each picture can be several megabytes in size.\u00a0\u00a0Compressing the pictures will significantly reduce their size in the presentation without any noticeable change in image quality.\u00a0 In PowerPoint you can compress all the pictures in the presentation at once.<\/p>\n

To compress pictures in your presentation:<\/p>\n

  1. Select any picture in the presentation<\/li>\n
  2. On the Picture Tools Format <\/em>tab in the Adjust <\/em>group click on the Compress Pictures <\/em>button

  3. In the Compress Pictures dialog box, clear the Apply only to this picture <\/em>checkbox<\/li>\n
  4. Select an option from the Target Output <\/em>list, likely Screen<\/em>
