{"id":315,"date":"2017-11-05T02:04:11","date_gmt":"2017-11-05T02:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alandaletraining.com\/software-tips\/?p=315"},"modified":"2017-11-05T02:04:11","modified_gmt":"2017-11-05T02:04:11","slug":"using-words-selection-pane-manage-multiple-graphics-page","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alandaletraining.com\/software-tips\/2017\/11\/05\/using-words-selection-pane-manage-multiple-graphics-page\/","title":{"rendered":"Using Word&#8217;s Selection Pane to manage multiple graphics on a page"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While most Word documents are primarily all text, some may contain graphics such as SmartArt, pictures, shapes or screenshots.\u00a0 If some of the pages in your document contain several graphics, Word has a handy tool called the Selection Pane.<\/p>\n<p>To display the Selection Pane:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the Home tab in the Editing group (extreme right side of the Ribbon), click on the Select button<\/li>\n<li>Select Selection Pane<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Selection Pane appears on the right of the document and lists all the graphics on the current page. \u00a0You can use the Selection Pane to change the order in which they appear relative to each other (layering) or to hide or display objects.\u00a0 When you select an object in the Selection Pane Word also selects it in the document.<\/p>\n<p>If several graphics on a page overlap each other, you can use the Selection Pane to control the order in which they are shown.\u00a0 Select a graphic and then either drag it up or down in the list or use the up and down arrows at the top right of the Selection Pane.<\/p>\n<p>If you have Wrap Text feature turned on for a graphic you can then use the small icon to the right of each item in the Selection Pane to hide or show the graphic in the document.<\/p>\n<p>When you are finished, click on the x at the top right of the Selection Pane to hide it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While most Word documents are primarily all text, some may contain graphics such as SmartArt, pictures, shapes or screenshots.\u00a0 If some of the pages in your document contain several graphics, &#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":236,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"nf_dc_page":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-315","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-word"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.4 -
