As you open more and more programs on your system, the Taskbar can get quite cluttered.\u00a0 If you turn on the Small Icons feature in Windows you\u2019ll be able to fit more icons on the Taskbar.<\/p>\n

To turn on Small Icons in Windows 10:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Right-click on an empty part of the Taskbar<\/li>\n
  2. Select Taskbar settings<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. In the Taskbar settings window, the fourth option on the list is Use small taskbar buttons<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. If it is set to Off, click on the option to turn it on<\/li>\n
  5. Close the Settings window<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To turn on Small Icons in Windows 7:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Right-click on an empty part of the Taskbar<\/li>\n
    2. Select Properties<\/em><\/li>\n
    3. In the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box, on the Taskbar tab, select the Use small icons<\/em> checkbox<\/li>\n
    4. Click on OK<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Some people prefer to use the larger icons so if you ever want to switch back, just repeat the steps above to turn off the feature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
