For about the last year I\u2019ve been using a very useful website & app that keeps track of and manages all my passwords.\u00a0 It\u2019s such a useful tool I wanted to share it with you.\u00a0 And it\u2019s free for personal use.<\/p>\n
With the proliferation of passwords we seem to have to deal with these days, keeping track of them all can be tricky.\u00a0 Lastpass downloads an add-in for your browser and then every time you log into a website it gives you the option to store the login info.\u00a0 Whenever you go back to that website, lastpass supplies the login info for you.<\/p>\n
The only password you then need to remember is the one you use to login to lastpass.\u00a0 Once it is set up on your computer it\u2019ll keep you logged in so you don\u2019t need to sign on to lastpass each time.\u00a0Current thinking on creating a very secure password is to use a phrase: myfirstpet\u2019snamewasRover or Istartedworkingatabccompanyin2005<\/p>\n
And there is an app that will sync all your passwords so you can use them on your mobile devices as well.<\/p>\n
If you work for a larger organization there may be IT policies that restrict use of an add-in like this at work but you could still use it to manage your personal passwords.<\/p>\n
