A quick way to copy attachments from one email to another in Outlook

You might have run across the situation in Outlook where you want to copy attachments from one email to another?  Maybe you’ve received an email from a supplier and you want to send the attachments to a customer.  You don’t want to just forward the email from your supplier so you create a new message to the customer.

What’s the most efficient way to copy the attachments from one email to another?  Just drag them!

  1. Open the email containing the attachments
  2. Create a new message
  3. Position the two messages so you can see them both
  4. Select the attachments you want to copy using the Ctrl key or press Ctrl+A to select them all
  5. Drag the attachments to the body of the new message

Voila!  The attachments are copied to the new message you created.
