How to quickly select paragraphs in Word

Here’s a quick way to select paragraphs in Word.

If you move your mouse pointer into the left margin it will change to a white arrowhead.  As you probably know you can double-click next to a paragraph and the whole paragraph is selected.

To select several paragraphs, do a double-click and drag.  What, you ask, is a double-click and drag?  It’s similar to a double-click but on the second click you hold the button down so you can drag.  So, press, release, press.  Then drag up or down in your document and entire paragraphs are selected.

If you are working with large paragraphs this will be quicker because you do not have to select every line in the paragraph.
